Samantha began her career with the Mississippi Health Advocacy Program in June 2017. She serves as the Program Manager for Health Help Mississippi’s Hattiesburg Office. She is a 2017 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, where she attained her Master’s of Public Health Degree, with an emphasis in Health Policy & Administration. She graduated from USM with her Bachelor’s Degree of Public Health as well, with an emphasis in Health Policy and Administration, in 2015. Samantha is very actively involved in the community with the Hattiesburg Area Health Coalition, the American Public Health Association, and the Mississippi Public Health Association, where she serves as Secretary of the MPHA Young Professionals group. Prior to working with MHAP, Ms. Wells worked with Forrest General Hospital as the Health Administration Intern. She correspondingly has experience working with enrollment and gaining access to health coverage through interning with the City of Hattiesburg’s E3 Health Initiative.
